his intimate corporate dinner for 45 was hosted in the Weldon Galleries at the National Portrait Gallery. To accent the gorgeous duck egg blue and silver already in the room, we used splashes of colour in the deep purple hydrangea and roses that made up these spectacular centre pieces. There was no need for table cloths with these stunning high gloss white tables, beautifully complimented by white leather baroque chairs. And with custom made bolster cushions in the same rich plum, this dinner really had wow factor.
The Savoy
Originally built in 1889, the Savoy has been the hotel of choice amongst Hollywood stars and royalty since the beginning. In 1937, King George VI became the first reigning monarch to dine there. His daughter, Princess Elizabeth, was first seen in public with Prince Philip at a wedding reception in the hotel in 1946. Vivien Leigh met her future husband, Laurence Olivier, in The Savoy’s lobby. After three years and £220 million spent in restoration, it finally reopened in October 2010.
